Mark Hafner
CEO

Mark is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of HASTA Capital. Prior to founding HASTA, Mark was Senior Managing Director at Greystar, the largest operator of apartments in the U.S. In over 12 years at Greystar, Mark held multiple leadership roles across the company, most recently leading Greystar’s international expansion into Europe and Latin America where he oversaw the investment and development of over 30,000 residential units in Europe and Mexico. During his tenure with Greystar, Mark led the investment, acquisition, and development of over $9.0 Billion USD of multifamily rental properties and student housing.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Oswego and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He previously worked at Merck & Co. and Clear Channel Communication. Mark is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).

Rodrigo Suárez
COO GLOBAL, CEO LATIN AMERICA

Rodrigo is the Co-Founder, Global COO, and CEO of HASTA’s Latin America Division. Prior to founding HASTA, Rodrigo was Managing Director at Greystar in Latin America, where he was responsible for all of Greystar’s business activities in the region, including the company’s Investment, Development, and Property Management divisions. Rodrigo was responsible for investing a $250M USD equity fund and for the sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and execution of the development deals that made up that fund. Rodrigo was also responsible for the management of a 2,000+ unit portfolio in Mexico.

Rodrigo graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union in New York and received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. He previously worked at DeSimone Consulting Engineers in New York City as a structural engineer.

Rodrigo is President of the Asociacion de Vivienda en Renta, A.C. (AVER), and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Jonathan Taylor
CIO GLOBAL

Jonathan is Global Chief Investment Officer of HASTA Capital. Prior to joining HASTA Capital, Jonathan led the Investment Strategy & Research team as Managing Director at Greystar, the largest residential rental specialist globally. Prior to his tenure at Greystar, Jonathan was an Equity Research Associate at Green Street Advisors, a sell-side equity research company focused on independent real estate research.

Jonathan has a wide variety of experience having led the investment strategy efforts of both global institutional investment managers as well as boutique real estate organizations. He has played an instrumental role in privatizing two public real estate companies, formulating, and capitalizing both commingled closed- and open-ended funds, and enhancing the investment process of asset managers through extensive research and thought leadership.

Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Jonathan is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).

Carlos Aguilar
CFO GLOBAL

Carlos Aguilar is Global Chief Financial Officer of HASTA Capital. Previously, he was CFO of O’Donnell Capital Management, an industrial developer and investment manager. Carlos oversaw fund management, investor relations, capital markets, as well as, financial planning, accounting and taxes.

Before O’Donnell he was the Investments and Financial Planning Director of Abilia, a private real estate company. Carlos headed fund management and investments in office, mixed-used, condominiums and apartments in Mexico and the US. Additionally, he has investment banking experience and was an auditor in PwC.

Carlos has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Tecnologico de Monterrey and an MSRE from New York University.

Sebastian Muñoz
MANAGING DIRECTOR, SOUTH AMERICA

Sebastian Muñoz is Managing Director of HASTA Capital Colombia. Prior to HASTA, Sebastian was Head of Real Estate of the Andean Region at Deloitte. There he participated in real estate projects for sale and rent, of all asset classes, with GLAs from 5,000 m2 to 140,000 m2. He has also led, as an investment banker, the structuring of private equity funds for real estate development with a pipeline of up to 1.5 trillion Colombian pesos.

Sebastián has participated in multiple real estate projects and developments, capital and debt structuring, financial and real estate transactions, national and international fundraising, in amounts from $1 million to $250 million USD.

Sebastian has a bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from The University EIA in Medellín. He also has a Master’s degree in Real Estate (Finance and Investment from NYU. Sebastian has also worked in property management and development in Colombia (Alberto Alvarez S S.A.), development in NYC (Titanium Realty Group) and as a banker in the main bank of Colombia (Bancolombia).

Juan Pablo Arango
MANAGING DIRECTOR, COLOMBIA
Juan Pablo was part of HASTA’s founding team in South America, directly participating in the company’s first transactions in the region. During his time at HASTA, he has taken on various roles and responsibilities, contributing to the analysis and origination of new business opportunities, the development of ongoing projects, and the operation of existing assets.
 
Previously, he worked at Deloitte within the Real Estate Financial Advisory practice, where he participated in advisory engagements for real estate funds and other companies focused on the development, acquisition, and repositioning of real estate assets across different sectors. He led and executed valuation processes for multiple assets and portfolios in Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, and contributed to several transactions and joint ventures across the region. Earlier in his career, he was part of the management and development team of a logistics park—of which he is currently a board member—and also gained experience in the capital markets (Valores Bancolombia) and at a post-seed stage startup. 
 
Juan Pablo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración (CESA) and has completed various specialized courses in the real estate sector.
Yair Neuman
MANAGING DIRECTOR, CHILE
Yair served for six years as Deputy Manager of Real Estate Development at Parque Arauco, where he led the company’s diversification into residential rental assets, spearheading six multifamily transactions. Prior to that, he spent two years as part of the Real Estate Funds team at LarrainVial Asset Management, raising US$60 million for a multifamily fund and US$50 million for a residential development-for-sale fund. Yair holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Chile and a Master’s in Finance from the same institution. He has also completed specialized real estate programs at various institutions, including ESE Business School at Universidad de los Andes.

Juan Sebastian Ossa
MANAGING DIRECTOR OPERATIONS, LATAM

Juan Sebastián Ossa Juan Sebastián Ossa is Managing Director of Operations LATAM at Hasta Capital, with more than 15 years of experience leading institutional real estate portfolios in Colombia and across the region. He has a strong focus on asset repositioning, occupancy improvement, NOI and EBITDA optimization, and comprehensive management driven by results and operational efficiency. Previously, he served as General Manager at Activos Capital, where he led a 64,000 m² portfolio—the largest convenience mall portfolio in the country. He also served as Director of Asset Management at PEI Asset Management, overseeing a portfolio exceeding COP 2 trillion, achieving substantial improvements in occupancy, revenues, and profitability. He holds a degree in International Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Intelligence and Real Estate Investment Analysis from MIT.

Previously, he served as General Manager at Activos Capital, where he led a 64,000 m² portfolio—the largest convenience mall portfolio in the country. Matthew Masinter
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, US INVESTMENTS

Matt Masinter leads HASTA’s US investments team. In this role he is responsible for the overseeing of HASTA’s acquisitions and dispositions throughout the US. Matt was previously Executive Vice President and head of acquisitions and dispositions at Waterton.  While at Waterton, Matt oversaw $6.9 billion of acquisitions, $3.2 billion of dispositions and led the successful deployment of approximately $4 billion of equity in its institutional series of value-add funds and separate accounts.

During his 25+ year career, Matt has transacted on over $11 billion in property acquisitions and dispositions, managing diverse transactions and property/deal types, including value add, core, development, preferred equity, debt, and real estate securities.  Mr. Masinter holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He has previously held the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.
Trey Miller
MANAGING DIRECTOR, CONSTRUCTION
Trey is Managing Director of Construction at HASTA. Prior to HASTA, Trey was the Managing Director of Renovations and Capital Projects for Mill Creek Residential where he oversaw capital projects for Mill Creek’s national portfolio and built their renovation and due diligence programs from the ground up. Prior to his tenure at Mill Creek, Trey worked at Greystar overseeing both new ground-up construction and renovations of existing properties. Over the past 25 years, Trey has led the construction and renovation of over 15,000 apartment units.
Hilde Veda
DIRECTOR, INVESTOR RELATIONS

Hilde Veda is Director of Investor Relations at Hasta Capital. Previously, Hilde was Manager of Portfolio Analytics and Investor Services at PGIM Real Estate, responsible for information for clients and financial analysis of the different Investment Funds. In previous years, she was an Associate of Portfolio Management at PGIM Real Estate, being responsible for the Fund Management of Industrial Assets.

Hilde received her MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.

Rob Kolinsky
SENIOR DIRECTOR, ASSET MANAGEMENT

Rob is a Senior Director of Asset Management at HASTA Capital. Prior to joining HASTA, Rob was a Vice President of Asset & Portfolio Management at Pearlmark Real Estate where he oversaw a portfolio of multifamily, student housing, and office properties and was integral in the due diligence process of all new equity and debt investments. Before Pearlmark, Rob was with The Scion Group, overseeing the firm’s $5 billion USD, 60,000+ bed student housing portfolio.

Rob has a wide array of experience in the real estate industry across various functions including acquisitions, asset management, development, and capital markets at firms including J.P. Morgan and Inland Private Capital Corporation.

Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.

Daniel Maldonado
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, MEXICO
Daniel Maldonado is Development Director for Mexico. Prior to joining Hasta Capital, he served as Associate Vice President at CCLA Group, where he led the development, construction, and operational launch of various multifamily assets in Mexico City and Monterrey. Previously, he worked at WeWork and Ópera Desarrolladora, focusing his professional career on real estate development.
 
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master’s degree in Industrial Project Redevelopment from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
Andrea Izquierdo
GLOBAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

Andrea Izquierdo is the Global Marketing Director at HASTA Capital. Previously, Andrea was the Head of Marketing at Nomad Living, a company dedicated to managing multifamily housing in Latin America. In this role, she was responsible for designing and implementing marketing strategies aimed at stabilizing asset occupancy and strengthening brand development and positioning. She also led the creation and implementation of a strategic marketing plan for the launch of new projects in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Mexico. 

Andrea holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the Universidad Anáhuac and a Master's in Digital Marketing from EUDE Business School, as well as a Master's in Integrated Marketing from Universidad Anáhuac Mexico.

Steffani Betancourt
RETAIL ASSET MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR

Steffani was Senior Legal Manager at UrbanHub, a multifamily developer in Mexico City. Steffani was responsible for conducting the due diligence for new property acquisitions, negotiating retail lease, purchase, construction and service contracts for the company, as well as handling insurance and bonds. Prior to UrbanHub, she worked in the Real Estate Department at Walmart Mexico and Centroamerica, where she headed the area responsible for negotiating lease and purchase agreements for new stores.

Steffani received her Master in Corporate Law from Tecnologico de Monterrey and a Bachelor of Law from the same University.
