Mark is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of HASTA Capital. Prior to founding HASTA, Mark was Senior Managing Director at Greystar, the largest operator of apartments in the U.S. In over 12 years at Greystar, Mark held multiple leadership roles across the company, most recently leading Greystar’s international expansion into Europe and Latin America where he oversaw the investment and development of over 30,000 residential units in Europe and Mexico. During his tenure with Greystar, Mark led the investment, acquisition, and development of over $9.0 Billion USD of multifamily rental properties and student housing.
Mark graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Oswego and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. He previously worked at Merck & Co. and Clear Channel Communication.
Mark is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).
Rodrigo is Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of HASTA Capital. Prior to founding HASTA, Rodrigo was Managing Director at Greystar in Latin America, where he was responsible for all of Greystar’s business activities in the region, including the company’s Investment, Development, and Property Management divisions. Rodrigo was responsible for investing a $250M USD equity fund and for the sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and execution of the development deals that made up that fund. Rodrigo was also responsible for the management of a 2,000+ unit portfolio in Mexico.
Rodrigo graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union in New York and received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School. He previously worked at DeSimone Consulting Engineers in New York City as a structural engineer.
Rodrigo is a Founding Member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Asociacion de Vivienda en Renta, A.C. (AVER), and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).
Jonathan is Chief Financial Officer of HASTA Capital. Prior to joining HASTA Capital, Jonathan led the Investment Strategy & Research team as Managing Director at Greystar, the largest residential rental specialist globally. Prior to his tenure at Greystar, Jonathan was an Equity Research Associate at Green Street Advisors, a sell-side equity research company focused on independent real estate research.
Jonathan has a wide variety of experience having led the investment strategy efforts of both global institutional investment managers as well as boutique real estate organizations. He has played an instrumental role in privatizing two public real estate companies, formulating, and capitalizing both commingled closed- and open-ended funds, and enhancing the investment process of asset managers through extensive research and thought leadership.
Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Jonathan is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
Sterling joined HASTA Capital at its inception and is a Director of Investments focusing on U.S. acquisitions, asset management, and new capital relationships. Since joining the firm, Sterling has completed over $600mm USD of transactions in the United States. Prior to HASTA Capital, Sterling was an investment professional at Greystar Investment Group’s Latin America platform where he aided in the underwriting and analysis of MXN$3bn of transactions. Prior to that, Sterling was a development analyst at Grupo Questro where he focused on luxury hospitality and high end residential projects throughout Mexico. Sterling Studied Comparative Literature and Portuguese at Yale University, during which time he studied, and worked abroad in Brazil.
Andrea is part of the founding team at HASTA Capital focusing on multifamily real estate developments, debt capitalization, new capital relationships and the consulting branch of HASTA Capital. Andrea prepares and executes investment strategies and plays a key role on the team that has completed over $700mm USD of transactions in the United States. Prior to joining HASTA Capital, Andrea worked at Greystar’s Mexico Office as an Investment Analyst. Native in three languages, Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the NYU Global Program, in which she studied at NYU campuses in Paris, London and New York. She holds a major in Political Science and a minor in Economics. Additionally, she was a graduate from the Lycée Français de New York.
Bruno is Director of Development at HASTA Capital. Prior to HASTA, Bruno was a Development Associate at Thor Urbana Capital, responsible for their Four Seasons Caye Chapel project, a 100 key, 36 private residence and 100 estate lots luxury project on a private island off Belize. Bruno also worked as an architect at Grupoarquitectura where he designed luxury residential projects.
Bruno has an Architecture Degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and an MSRED from Columbia University in New York.
Felix is a Director of Asset Management, based in the US. Felix was previously Regional Vice President of Property Management for Winthrop Management where he oversaw the management and operations of Winthrop’s multifamily assets in the Eastern US. Prior to HASTA, Felix has also worked as a Regional Property Manager for The Bainbridge Companies and a Regional Property Manager for Greystar. Over his career, Felix has led the lease-up and management of over 8,000 apartments. Felix holds a Real Estate Sales License in Florida and is an active member of the Florida Realtors Association and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Sebastian Muñoz is Managing Director of HASTA Capital Colombia. Prior to HASTA, Sebastian was Head of Real Estate of the Andean Region at Deloitte. There he participated in real estate projects for sale and rent, of all asset classes, with GLAs from 5,000 m2 to 140,000 m2. He has also led, as an investment banker, the structuring of private equity funds for real estate development with a pipeline of up to 1.5 trillion Colombian pesos.
Sebastián has participated in multiple real estate projects and developments, capital and debt structuring, financial and real estate transactions, national and international fundraising, in amounts from $1 million to $250 million USD.
Sebastian has a bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from The University EIA in Medellín. He also has a Master’s degree in Real Estate (Finance and Investment from NYU. Sebastian has also worked in property management and development in Colombia (Alberto Alvarez S S.A.), development in NYC (Titanium Realty Group) and as a banker in the main bank of Colombia (Bancolombia).
